FAQ's

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) we get here at Sticky Vinyl Australia.
  • How do I order vinyl in continuous length rolls?

When you select more than 1 sheet of vinyl, a "Continuous Length" option appears under the quantity box, on the product you are purchasing.

Click on the check box and where possible, we will leave your vinyl on the roll as a continuous length.

This allows you to have more control over the length of vinyl you are ordering, instead of being restricted.

This section will also advise how long the vinyl will be when delivered on the roll!

Some of our vinyl has a protective film over it to protect them during manufacturing and postage. This has no impact on the use of the vinyl at all, but can make it look like there are bubbles on your vinyl.

You will need to remove this film before using the vinyl.

  • Permanent Adhesive Vinyl - Hints and Tips

    - Ensure you have cleaned the surface you are applying it to with rubbing alcohol first

    - Do not wash the item for 12-24 hours after applying

    - Most of our HTV is cut 'shiny side down'. Make sure you check the product information on the website before cutting

    - Do not overheat or over press your HTV when applying - stick to the instructions

    - Pre-wash or iron your garment before applying, to prevent the garment from shrinking when you heat it

    - Use a Heat Press Mat instead of your ironing board. This helps disperse the heat quicker, making the application nicer

    - If you are layering/stacking your vinyl, only apply heat for a minimum amount of time until you reach your final layer, then complete the full press time

    - Do not wash your garments for 12-24 hours after applying

    - Do not iron over your HTV once on the garment

    - Make sure your HTV is certified harmful chemical-free (like all of ours!) ensuring it is safe to use
