Use the below information as a guide for applying your Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV).
Depending on the garment or product you are applying the HTV to, application times and peel temperature can differ. So we always suggest having a 'test run' before you start your end project!
For best results we suggest using a heat press, however, lots of our customers have used an iron to apply theirs. We also suggest using a Heat Press Mat when applying. This helps keep your project flat, gives you a surface you can apply pressure to and helps draw heat from the garment post-press.
If you are layering your HTV, or applying to sensitive garments or garments that have other print or HTV on them, make sure you use a Teflon Cover Sheet in between the garment and the heat press. This non-stick sheet will stop your layered vinyl from getting stuck to the heat press.
Another tip is to make sure you run your heat press over your garment before applying. This will remove any residual moisture in the garment, helping for a better and longer lasting application.
