Use cases
When you should and shouldn't use Removable Adhesive Vinyl. Note that removable does not always mean damage-free on every surface. Paint condition, surface preparation, humidity, the age of the vinyl, and the length of time it has been applied can all affect removal, so always test first if the surface is delicate.

Steps to use
How to apply Removable Adhesive Vinyl. Essential tools include a cutting machine, a cutting mat, a weeding tool, transfer tape, a scraper or squeegee, scissors or a trimmer, a lint-free cloth, a ruler or measuring tape, and masking tape for lining up larger decals.
-
1
Design
- Create or upload your design in your cutting software.
- Size the design to suit your project surface.
-
2
Cut
- Place the vinyl on your cutting mat with the coloured vinyl side facing up and the backing sheet facing down.
- Cut your design using the setting recommended for that specific vinyl product.
- Weed away the excess vinyl, leaving only your design on the backing paper.
-
3
Apply
- Apply transfer tape over the weeded design.
- Use a scraper or squeegee to burnish the transfer tape onto the vinyl.
- Clean the project surface with a lint-free cloth and allow it to dry completely.
- Peel the backing sheet away so the vinyl design stays on the transfer tape.
- Position the design on your surface.
- Press the design down firmly, working from the centre outwards.
- Burnish again with a scraper to help the vinyl make contact with the surface.
- Slowly peel away the transfer tape, leaving the vinyl design on the surface.
- Allow the adhesive time to settle before handling, cleaning or repositioning items around it.
